Why physiotherapists think they’ve noticed a rise in thumb injuries

Australian physios are noticing a rise in repetitive strain injuries in thumbs, which they’re attributing to excessive mobile phone use.

It comes as people spend more and more time on their phone.

Melanie McAuliffe, Physiotherapist and Sports Scientist at Melanie Mac Physiotherapy, spoke about the issue with Tom Elliott on Friday.
