Bendigo has been named this year’s top tourism town in Victoria.

Port Fairy won the award for the top small tourism town (population between 1500 and 5000) for the second year running.

Mt Macedon took out the tiny town award.

Felicia Mariani, Chief Executive, Victoria Tourism Industry Council, said there was always something going on in Bendigo.

“I think thing that’s wonderful about Bendigo is the town really gets behind everything that happens there,” she said.
