A woman has died following a house fire in Wheelers Heel.

Emergency services were called to a home on Wattleglade Court at about 10.20pm on Thursday.

A man, woman and child has escaped the burning building.

Sadly the woman, who has not yet been identified, died at the scene.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The child was no injured.

The exact circumstances surrounding the blaze are yet to be determined.
