A body has been found in Coburg Lake.

A passerby raised the alarm when they noticed something in the water when going for a walk on Thursday afternoon.

Ed alerted 3AW Afternoons to the troubling incident.

Police have confirmed a male body had been found.

They are working to identify the man and will await the results of a post mortem to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
