Ukraine look to Australia for military assistance in war against Russia

Ross and Russ

Ukraine’s ambassador to Australia is lobbying the federal government to send a fleet of 30 newly built armoured vehicles, known as Hawkeis, to aid in the war against Russia.

Ukraine intend on making its army a ‘guinea pig’ for cutting edge Australian military technology.

Senior Analyst from the Australian Strategic Policy Institute specialising in future warfare and military technology, Malcolm Davis, believes the move would work for both Ukraine and Australia.

“It gives us a product that we can market around the world and particularly if used in Ukraine effectively, that’s going to dramatically boost its prospects for sale,” he told Ross and Russel.
