Outgoing Victorian MP and horse racing fanatic Martin Pakula has shared his top tips for the Melbourne Cup.

Mr Pakula shared his Derby Day tips with Neil Mitchell last Friday, and wow, he was on the money!

He backed four winners — Surefire in race two, Zenzella in race four, In Secret in race six, and Asfoora in race nine.
