Victoria’s weekend came to a tragic end with three road fatalities in as many hours.

A person died when their car hit a tree at Kialla, near Shepparton, at about 2pm on Sunday.

Half an hour later, a woman died in a crash at Park Orchards in Melbourne’s north-east. A male passenger in the same vehicle was also taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Just before 3.30pm, a man aged in his 50s was killed when his vehicle overturned at Timboon.
