What frustrates Tom Elliott about Australia’s typical response to Indigenous issues

Tom Elliott says if it wasn’t already clear by now, the unfolding crisis in the Northern Territory shows Australia’s approach to Indigenous issues isn’t working.
But he isn’t surprised.
“We love the symbolic – but meaningless – gestures, particularly in the southern parts of the country,” the 3AW Drive host said.
