A growing number of entities now allowing staff to work on Australia Day and take another day off instead.

So Neil Mitchell phoned some offices he expected would be working today, including Merri-Bek Council, the Premier’s Office and AFL House.

“To have a principle stand is one thing, to give up a day off is another,” the 3AW Mornings host said.
