Crude religious joke on The Project sparks backlash

A crude joke about Jesus on The Project has sparked backlash, with queer comedian Reuben Kaye under fire over the gag.

Tom Elliott said it was important religion was able to be mocked and questioned in a free society, but said it was a fine line.

“And I think Reuben crossed it,” he said.
