Victorians warned ahead of ‘very dangerous’ fire risk

The Country Fire Authority has issued a warning to Victorians ahead of a “very dangerous” day.

The temperature is forecast to surge to 37°C in Melbourne tomorrow and reach over 40°C in some parts of the state.

CFA chief officer Jason Heffernan says it’ll be “quite nasty”.

“What’s really concerning for me is the really fresh to hot gusty north-westerly winds and we’re looking at around 50 kilometres an hour,” he told Neil Mitchell.
