Dee Dee Dunleavy has given her view on the new transgender pride flag unveiled at Treasury Place.

Whilst Dee Dee is very strongly in support of the transgender community, she believes it will cause more division than unity.

Australia currently have four separate flags, the progress flag, two LGBTQI flags, the Indigenous flag and the Australia flag.

“To have so many separate flags causes division,” Dee Dee said.

“It highlights that we’re not one, the more flags, the less meaning each one is going to have.”

“To me it’s the opposite of inclusiveness.”
