Tom Elliott has backed the decision by the World Athletics Federation to ban transgender women from female events.

The 3AW Drive host claimed it is a “rare moment of sanity” from World Athletics but understands it will not sit well with everyone.

“It will upset some people, but it is the right thing to do,” he said.
