Why a baby bonus isn’t the answer to combat Australia’s declining birth rate

There are calls for a new baby bonus to be implement to combat declining birth rates in Australia.

Simon Kuestenmacher, co-founder at The Demographics Group, told Tom Elliott it sounded like a better idea in theory, than it was in reality.

He said another factor was far more determinative in whether people had children.
