Police are urging Victorians to pay attention on the state roads following an increase in deaths and injuries this year.

Assistant commissioner for road policing, Glenn Weir, says the number of lives lost on the roads this year is “unacceptable”.

“We’ve seen a rise in trauma around vulnerable road users,” Mr Weir told 3AW Breakfast.
