An expert panel on emission reductions have recommended natural gas should be phased out and the sale of emitting road vehicles should end by 2035.

Chief executive of the Australian Automotive Dealer Association, James Voortman, does not support the new findings.

“If you read what the panel said, they actually contradicted themselves, they said one hand. They want petrol and diesel banned before 2035, and then in the second sentence they said they also urge the Victorian government to support a national approach,” Mr Voortman told Tom Elliott.
