The push to clean up ‘derelict and unkept’ sites in Footscray

Mayor of the Maribyrnong City Council, Councillor Sarah Carter, has hit out at developers for “land banking” and leaving sites in Footscray in a “state of disrepair”.

She spoke to Dee Dee on what land banking is and why its causing sites in Melbourne’s west to become “derelict and unkept”.

“It’s very obvious in Footscray,” Ms Carter said.
