City of Melbourne’s plan to better reflect the city’s ‘Aboriginal cultural heritage’

Jacqui Felgate

The City of Melbourne will consider giving CBD spaces and streets dual names, under a council plan to better reflect the city’s “Aboriginal cultural heritage”.

Tom Elliott believes the move would cause “immense confusion and cost a lot of money” and the vice president of Council Watch Dean Hurlston agrees.

“This could be one of the most expensive digital projects that the City of Melbourne did by error,” Mr Hurlston said.
