New research by the Institute of Public Affairs indicates Victoria could be 62,000 houses short over the next five years.

Deputy Executive Director of the Institute of Public Affairs Daniel Wild says multiple factors, including the government’s migration expansion plans, may be exacerbating the shortage.

Mr Wild says that a whole “sector review”  is needed to accommodate the expansion to migration.
