The fascinating new research regarding smartphone use

A collaboration between Melbourne University, Stanford University in California and University College in London have conducted research linking smartphone use to people’s emotional state.

The research found people use their smartphones to regulate their emotions, stress, boredom and loneliness.

Senior Lecturer at Melbourne University and one of the researchers of the study, Dr Greg Wadley, doesn’t believe people spending lots of time on their smartphones is necessarily a negative thing.
