Constitutional law expert at Melbourne University, Professor Cheryl Saunders, has spoken on the Voice and what would need to happen for a treaty to be pursued at the national level.

Tom Elliott claimed the Uluru Statement from the Heart talks about truth telling and a treaty, but was confused as the government has mentioned nothing about a treaty.

Professor Saunders claimed the statement talks about “supervising a treaty making process”.
