A devastated Victorian business owner says he’ll be $100,000 out of pocket due to Victoria ditching the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Simon, who runs a conference business, says he’s already ordered equipment in preparation for the event.

“What are we meant to do?,” the emotional business owner asked Neil Mitchell. “We just existed through COVID … we are just rebuilding our company.”
