A second probe into the cancelled Commonwealth Games will go ahead after the state government failed to divert a parliamentary inquiry.

State opposition leader, John Pesutto, says there’s a range of issues he wants looked at through this probe.

“How did we end up in this mess? Why wasn’t the due diligence done in the first place? … this is just the tip of the iceberg … we got major projects worth billions of dollars blowing out,” he told Tom Elliott.
