Alarming new figures show significantly less women trained in key skill

Ross and Russ

New research has found significantly fewer women are trained and confident in administering first aid compared to men.

Chief executive officer of St John Ambulance Australia, Brendan Maher says, the figures could be explained by requirements in certain industries.

“For first-aiders in industries that are more male dominated such as in the trades, often OH&S requirements need a first-aider,” he told 3AW Breakfast.
