Why more students going interstate for university

More Victorians are opting to study interstate with many going to study at the Australian National University in Canberra.

Professor of higher education policy, Andrew Norton, says ANU has tried to recruit nationally and have on-campus accommodation.

“The idea there is to offer a more communal experience of university,” he told Tom Elliott.

He also said students from Canberra also go elsewhere to study.

“It’s two-way traffic,” he said.
