‘Armageddon’: Farmer details Seacombe bushfire experience

Tom Elliott

A farmer in Seacombe who has decided to stay behind to save his property has described what he has witnessed as ‘Armageddon’.

Ray Shingles says the fires came through over night and have started coming through again.

“We were told we had to leave because they were not sending any firetrucks down to support us in any way, it was too dangerous,” he told Neil Mitchell.
