Actor, writer and comedian, Tim Minchin, has revealed how Groundhog Day was transformed from a famous movie from 1993, into a popular musical!

Minchin is the mastermind behind the songs in the musical, which is set to make its Australian premiere in January.

“Mostly, I think movies becoming musicals is a really bad idea, and I’ve got a lot of proof of that, but Groundhog Day is such an amazing story,” Minchin told Ross and Russel.

‘Groundhog Day The Musical’ will run from 24 January to 21 April at the Princess Theatre.
