Public affairs manager for Birdlife Australia, Sean Dooley, has answered a question from Neil Mitchell when he asked where all the sparrows have gone!

Mr Dooley said sparrows have gone from the third most sighted bird in Victoria in 2018, to the sixth most sighted bird in 2023.

He said the bird is still commonly sighted, but they are dropping out of neighbourhoods.
