Police are seeking information after a woman was hospitalised following a hit-run collision in St Albans earlier this month.

A white Nissan X-Trail SUV was travelling along Main Road East when it struck the 49-year-old woman.

The driver stopped briefly to check on the pedestrian before fleeing the scene.

The incident happened at 10:50am on November 15.
