Tom Elliott says he was shocked to read the state government has plans to hire treaty advisors over a treaty between the Victorian government and Indigenous groups.

He says he was shocked to read how much the advisors would be earning despite possibly only six months a year.

“The bigger issue than the whopping salary, is what’s going to be in the treaty? I’ve asked this question many times but never got a straight answer,” he said.
