Top cricket writer weighs in on Mitchell Johnson David Warner rift

Wide World of Sports

Former cricketer Mitchell Johnson has defended his comments about retiring cricketer David Warner in a piece for the West Australian.

Chief cricket writer at the Sydney Morning Herald, Malcolm Conn has called the actions by the former cricketer disappointing.

“I thought bringing up sandpaper-gate up five years after the event … and he said [Warner] never really owned it, well I got a feeling Warner, and Smith, and Bancroft all owned it.” he told Sam McClure.
