Police have now charged the driver who allegedly drove into a Daylesford beer garden on November 5 with five counts of culpable driving causing death.

Victoria Police detectives charged the man this morning.

“Some serious charges there as a result of the five deaths,” Tony Jones said.

Nine News reporter, Gilian Lantouris, says the 66-year-old man from Mount Macedon will face a magistrate judge today.

“He will appear via video-link,” she told Tony Jones.
