Super Nanny Jo Frost on raising little humans

Ross and Russel

Is it a failing of parenting that millennials are known to change jobs so quickly?

This was the question put to super Nanny Jo Frost on 3AW Breakfast.

She disagreed quickly, ‘No, I think it’s understanding their experience and them learning from that and looking at opportunities and how they grow,’ Mrs Frost said.

‘I don’t think its anything new particularly in the world of technology these days.’

Burnso – who is currently using a puppy trainer to train his puppy put to Jo, ‘the way to train a dog is to reward good behaviour and not punish bad behaviour, how does that come with the old expression spare the rod spoil the child?’

‘Training a child is very different to raising a dog,’ she laughed.

A few tips she listed to help parents struggling to get their kids off technology was to create boundaries.

Some of the bad behaviour surrounding screen use she likens to that of addicts.

‘You need to regulate the use of tablets and phones, keep them away at least an hour before bed time.’
