A supermarket director has labelled Woolworths “Wokeworths” over the retailer’s decision not to sell Australia Day merchandise.

Director of Drakes Supermarket, John-Paul Drake, told Tom Elliott it’s not the place of a retailer to dictate what customers purchase.

“Where does it stop? Is Woolworths going to turn around and say ‘Oh look we don’t have religious beliefs anymore, there’s no more Easter’,” he questioned.
