Footage has gone viral of former deputy prime minister Barnaby Joyce lying on the ground and shouting profanities late last Wednesday night.

The ex-Nationals leader was captured on a Canberra street lying on the pavement, as he talks to someone on the phone.

“They are long days and long nights in Canberra – but it’s very Barnaby Joyce to embrace this,” Channel 7’s Mark Riley told 3AW Drive.
