Residents who were told to evacuate ahead of catastrophic fire conditions today have been left anxious as authorities warn the “threat remains”.

Nine News reporter, Gillian Lantouris, says it’s still extremely warm and windy in the region.

“I’m outside the Horsham CFA, and they’ve had a few false starts … I’ve spoken to the State Control Centre, they’re worried about the eastern fringe of the Wimmera,” she told Jacqui Felgate.
