A captain who helped rescue 22 school kids has been applauded for his quick effort

The chief executive officer of SeaRoad Ferries, has applauded the efforts of a captain who came to the rescue of 22 school kids earlier today.

Matt McDonald says it was an “amazingly quick” response.

“From the time they received the distress call, there was only six minutes until those passengers were on the ferry,” he told Jacqui Felgate.
