Entertainment reporter Pete Ford isn’t surprised Hollywood stars Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen have filed for divorce.

The high-profile couple recently announced on social media that they were parting ways, with the timing of making the news raising eyebrows as a result of claims levelled against Baron Cohen from Rebel Wilson in a new book.

But Ford said he didn’t believe the allegations “directly related” to the announcement of the couple’s split.

“I wasn’t overly surprised by the announcement,” he told Mark Allen and Jimmy Bartel on 3AW Breakfast.

“I don’t think it’s directly related to Rebel Wilson’s book, but certainty she’s claiming a lot of bodies along the way.”
