A store manager at Watergardens Shopping Centre, has spoken of the terrifying incident where a 30-year-old man brandished a stolen knife during a fight this afternoon.

Erika* says at the time of the incident, staff on their lunch breaks were unable to re-enter the centre during the incident.

“We had reports, a mother and her small child actually ran into this particular store and were quite scared,” she told Jacqui Felgate.

Police have confirmed the man, a 30-year-old man, threatened a 21-year-old man and 20-year-old woman with the knife.
