Why Tom Elliott has ‘limited sympathy’ for people who choose to live in the inner city

Tom Elliott

Tom Elliott came across an article in The Age this morning regarding a woman who lives in an apartment block in Kensington, but doesn’t have a parking spot to go with it.

And it led the 3AW Mornings host to say he has “limited sympathy” for people who choose to live in the city.

Councillor at the City of Yarra, Stephen Jolly, then explained how people living in apartments haven’t been able get an on-site parking permit in buildings built after 2004.

But it’s the limited parking inside the apartment buildings which is a big problem, with councillor Jolly addressing the “bigger picture” with the situation.

“These things should be fixed by the state government,” he told Tom Elliott.
