A protest organiser says he’s grateful to the Victorian Police for their efforts in keeping Jewish protesters safe.

Speaker and coordinator  at Never Again Is Now, Dean Troth says pro-Palestinian protesters got within 200m of his protest.

“They were throwing their drums,and shouting their horrible slogans, but there were literally lines and lines of police between us and them,” he told Tom Elliott.

He also says a former Australian military officer who attended the protest was beaten by pro-Palestinian protesters.
