Mark Allen says a major cancer centre in Victoria will have to slash jobs after having its funding reduced by the government.

Marko revealed on 3AW Breakfast that the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre has had its funding cut by 75 per cent, with redundancies set to be announced on Monday.

“This is a sad one and I hate reading this one out,” he said on 3AW.

“This is where we’re at.”
