Master Builders Australia CEO Denita Wawn such a full-scale review of the CFMEU is needed following bombshell claims made against the construction union.

The body is in turmoil after allegations of bullying, violence and links to the underworld were made by investigation reporter Nick McKenzie.

Ms Wawn told Tom Elliott a full external review from both state and federal governments was needed.

“We’re hoping for far greater governance and oversight of the CFMEU,” she said on 3AW Mornings.

“That should include external administrators.”
