Rural News

Growers and exporters are welcoming Japan’s decision to lift trade restrictions on all table grape varieties.

From next season, Japanese consumers will be able to buy the full range of table grapes, which includes more than 130 varieties.

For the past 10 years, Australia has only been able to export Crimson Seedless, Red Globe and Thompson Seedless.

Rural Reporter Emily Minney has spoken with Australian Table Grape Association Chief Executive Jeff Scott, who says its an exciting time for the industry.
