Noemie Fox has won a gold medal for the ages, taking out the Kayak Cross competition in its Olympic debut in Paris.

She joined her older sister Jess as an Olympic gold medallist, putting together the perfect race in the final to cross the line first in the four-person field.

Joining Ross and Russ just hours after winning gold, she admitted she hadn’t heard her father Richard’s – who’s been in commentary for Canoe Slalom on Nine – commentary of her gold medal yet.

That all changed when she was played it live on 3AW Breakfast.

“It’s been very emotional for all involved,” she said.

“It’s Kayak Cross and anything can happen.”
