Several Hawthorn players have leapt into action to help an elderly man who had suffered a fall at the Merrymen café in Hampton this morning.

Jane, who was there enjoying a coffee with her friend, told Jacqui Felgate on 3AW Drive the dramatic story of what happened.

“The boys didn’t leave his side,” Jane said.
