The chief executive officer of the Victorian Tourism Industry Council has criticised the controversial short-stay levy for being confusing.

Felicia Mariani says the confusion lies in how the legislation has been written.

“The legislation allows for the seven and a half per cent to be charged on the seven and a half per cent that you’ve collected,” she told Tony Jones, filling in for Tom Elliott.
