3AW newsreader Tony Tardio says he’s currently battling his local council over the removal of a dangerous tree in his backyard.

He told Tony Jones the tree has been deemed a ‘tree of significance’ by the City of Yarra, meaning he can’t remove it.

“I reckon this tree is 20-25 metres high,” he said on 3AW Mornings.

“The canopy of the tree covers the entire back yard.”
