A local resident who saw the immediate aftermath of the shocking landslide on the Mornington Peninsula on Tuesday has described her shock after witnessing what happened.

A beach house dramatically collapsed at McCrae on the Mornington Peninsula on Tuesday, terrifying onlookers.

Tanina revealed to Tony Jones that a smaller landslide had recently occurred near the property.

“It was a pretty shocking scene,” she said on 3AW Drive.

“The house was taped up a few weeks ago and had a small landslide underneath.”
