Tom Elliott has issued a grim prediction for Victoria if the Allan State Government pushes ahead of the Suburban Rail Loop.

His comments come after it was revealed the Federal Government would rather fund a rail link to Melbourne airport.

“I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news on what is otherwise an enjoyable public holiday but it’s staring us in the face,” he said.
